Description
The Silver Leghorn is a rare and beautiful variety. Our strain is very carefully selected for the correct color and type if you’re looking for a Heritage Breed. Males are silvery-white and lustrous greenish-black. Females have salmon-colored breasts and silver-gray necks, back,s and wings.
Silver Leghorn hens make good white egg layers and the breed is very vigorous, quick, and alert. Baby chicks are striped like Brown Leghorns, but with light brown stripes and a more grayish color overall.

I purchased several Leghorn laying hens from Cayden James Farm, and they have been a great addition to my coop. These hens are prolific layers, providing a steady supply of white eggs. They are energetic and curious, making them a joy to watch. The only minor issue I’ve encountered is that they are a bit more flighty than other breeds, but this is typical for Leghorns. Overall, I am very pleased with their performance and health.
